Just wanted to say that if you are considering a hidden fence for your pet, DogWatch of Greater Pittsburgh should be your first phone call. It is a family run business with fabulous customer service. We have used them for two years and are so happy.
Today they were down the street at a neighbor's. She mentioned to them that our dog had broken through his fence a couple weeks ago so he stopped by, checked it all out to make sure the fence was working and found that his collar was too loose (by like an inch). Really, he just stopped by to check on us... Who does that anymore?
We actually used the well known national company when we first got our dog Major but switched when I got tired of paying for expensive service fees and new batteries every three-four months. The difference between the companies is night and day!

I loved working with Jack and Liz. Installation was done as scheduled, efficient, and professional. We had not one, but two yards done! Our dogs learned very quickly with the training taught by the installers. My one yard was very complicated with loops to section off flower and garden beds. It has worked just as Jack said it would! Thank you very much and I will definitely be referring them to anyone with a dog!

Excellent Installation - Boxer loves it
We had a great experience with the installation of our invisible fence. The fence has been great for our boxer. It took him less then a week to figure out the boundary and we have never had a problem. Installation was relatively quick and straightforward. The training was very helpful. Will recommend this company to all friends looking for a invisible fence.

I wanted to let you know how happy Thor and Diesel are to be able to run free in our yard and how happy we are that they are safe. I also wanted to express how enjoyable the whole experience was from the initial telephone contact (I think we chatted for about 20 minutes) to the home visit (no pushy sales person giving a hard sales approach) to the install (a very professional and polite gentleman did the install) and finally the training (Jack was wonderful with Diesel and explained everything very well). Our guys responded very well to the training and mind the boundaries very well. I have used DIY systems and the Dogwatch system is superior in every way and I wonder why I wasted so much money on the cheaper systems, I should have done this years ago. Thank you for helping us to have peace of mind that our boys are safe.

I have wanted to tell you how happy we are with our Dogwatch Fence for some time now. Bella is a new dog and is so happy to be able to run free in her yard. I am happy too and believe it or not, I do let her run free. It was also so wonderful this summer to have her out on our back porch with us and again feel secure that she could come and go and be safe. She has never tried to go through the fence and is very aware of her boundaries. I recommend your business all the time to the people that walk by on Greentree Road with their dogs. I found the DogWatch team to be the most genuinely enthusiastic and knowledgeable about their product, my project, and the competitors' products without being condescending. The owner of the local DogWatch company spent nearly an hour on the phone with me talking conversationally about how they would approach the project, and what options there were for keeping the price low. I appreciated the time spent with me.

We encountered DogWatch at the Home and Garden Show in Pittsburgh quite a long time ago. Jack was the only dog containment vendor who "promised" me that he would contain my three beagles in my yard. I was skeptical, but decided to take the plunge. Boy, am I glad I did! With three hunting beagles in an unfenced yard, Jack and Liz were a godsend. No more looking for dogs in the woods, no more getting calls from a neighborhood away that my dogs had been found in their yard. I would recommend DogWatch anytime. All three of my beloved Beagle Brigade have crossed the Rainbow Bridge, but we recently adopted a baby beagle (she's now 5 months old), and already running rabbits! Time to get the DogWatch system up and running again!!!

We moved to a new house that was not fenced. My dogs were used to roaming a fenced yard so we needed a solution. I was hesitate to install an electrical fence for my older dogs. It was the first day with all of our flags down and 8 deer ran through our yard. Wylie has chased deer before and our puppy is only 5 months old...we were a little nervous to say the least. Thanks to our new DogWatch® underground fence, both dogs just sat and watched. What a relief!

We have two morkies - brother and sister. Every now and again they found a way to leave our grasp while tying them up. We have a Invisible Fence brand fence from our previous dog. We could not see spending an arm and a leg for new collars. Called Jack and he was so accommodating. Not only were they reasonable but he took the time to get to know us and Bella and Oliver. First Class!!! From my first phone call to Liz to installation.. Great Experience! We had another brand of electric fence and were not happy to say the least.. Liz explained the trade in process.. pricing, etc. Jared was at our house within several days to install the dog watch transmitter. He took his time and was very patient, polite and friendly answering ALL of my questions. He went above and beyond to explain everything. He also took his time fitting the collars properly on my dogs. (one 5 yrs old and one a 4 month old puppy). The puppy has already figured out the fence in less than a week. I love that I can change the correction settings myself without having to call a company to come out and charge me. The system is user friendly. The cost was very reasonable and the long term cost will be minimal compared to other companies. This is a great family owned company with a personal touch. I highly recommend them!
